Insider: Microsoft is trying to get hold of a major 2023 exclusive by buying its creators

In a recent episode of the Defining Duke podcast, youtuber and insider Jeremy Penter, also known as ACG, noted that Microsoft is trying to grab a major 2023 exclusive by buying its developer / publisher… He didn’t go into details, but today Nick Bakeraka Shpeshal Ed, stated that ACG was most likely talking about Techland.

Since some of Baker’s early insights were confirmed, many thought that in this case, the information could also be true, but this turned out to be not the case.

The first rumors about a possible deal between Techland and Microsoft began at the end of 2019, when it became known that the company was interested in expanding. Xbox Game Studios several Polish studios. In the spring of last year, the rumor about the deal was raised again after several publications on the network. Then Techland also issued a denial, noting that the studio remains independent and does not negotiate the sale with anyone.

Techland is currently developing Dying light 2 and promised to share some exciting news soon… The game was announced back in 2018 and was scheduled to be released in the spring of 2023, but was postponed indefinitely.
