Insider: Capcom is considering releasing Resident Evil 3 on the Nintendo Switch, but there is a nuance

Remake Resident evil 3 really can go out on Nintendo switch, but only in the form of a “cloud” version. This was told by an analyst and an insider Daniel Ahmad after mentions of Switch and eShop were found in RE3 demo code.

“There are currently no plans for a native port, but the issue of releasing a cloud version for Switch is being studied.”

Two years ago, Capcom released on the Switch a “cloud” version of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. It runs directly from the company’s servers, bypassing the hardware limitations of the console, but to play in this form you need a stable Internet connection. The project came out only in Japan.

Resident Evil 3 will appear on the announced platforms on April 3rd.
