Improved graphics and photo mode: Tomb Raider 2 fan remake gets updated demo

Modder Nicobass released an updated demo of the fan remake Tomb raider 2, which he has been developing for several years.

The demo is built on a more recent version Unreal Engine 4 and includes a lot of innovations. The author added a photo mode, updated lighting and a new rendering of water modeling to the game, reworked the sound reverb system, made improvements to Lara’s animation and updated the heroine’s model, giving her more realism… In addition, the game received new fish models that react to the character’s movements, as well as new models of dead bodies and more interaction with foliage, especially in caves and underwater.

In terms of content, the updated demo, like the old version, only offers one first level, but there is a new alternative skin for the heroine and more character models in the rewards menu. Other features include increased performance and many other minor improvements. Below are examples of pictures taken in Photo Mode

Nicobass previously revealed that he is working on another location for the Tomb Raider 2 remake with the Croft family estate, but he has no plans to redo the entire game.
