The new franchise film would be nothing without participating in the history of Neo and Trinity, and the same can be said for Agent Smith – the villain of the original trilogy, who was brilliantly played Hugo Weaving. Agent Smith is one of the key characters in The Matrix, so many fans reasonably hoped for his return in the new film.
Unfortunately, Weaving is not going to participate in the project, although he received an invitation from the director of the tape Lana Wachowski. The actor confirmed this in an interview with the publication Time out londonreferring to the conflict of work schedules. The film is about to begin with filming in February, and from the end of January to May, Weaving will take in NNational Theater of Great Britain over the staging of the play “Visit”
It is possible that Agent Smith could appear in “Matrix 4” with another actor (rumored to have young versions of the characters in the trilogy, including Yahya Abdul-Matin II in the role of Morpheus), but the absence of Weaving will undoubtedly be felt as a minus.
