Huawei’s first desktop computer tested – review

Chinese video service Bili bili published a desktop demonstration video Huawei based on proprietary processor Kunpeng 920 with ARMv8 architecture. It contains eight cores without multithreading.

Other computer specifications include:

  • Motherboard Huawei D920S10
  • 16 GB operational of memory Kingston DDR4-2666
  • 256 GB SATA SSD
  • Optical drive
  • Video card Yeston rx550
  • Linux based UOS operating system.

Judging by the tests, the novelty is still inferior to other modern processors. In the test Blender bmw the result was 707 seconds. And here are the results of other CPUs:

The system also coped with streaming 4K video, but “stuttered” in local playback. Perhaps the matter is in codecs. The video itself says that such a solution is more suitable for office work, and not for games or “heavy” tasks.

The release date has not yet been announced. But the price is already known – about 1060 dollars (almost 76 thousand rubles at the rate excluding taxes).
