Act 3 kicks off at Valorant on October 14th. A week before this event, Riot Games held a closed meeting with players and the press, at which they talked about the new agent and map, announced changes in the rating system, and gave all guests access to accounts with new content. The Cybersport.ru editors also received an invitation to the event, and I was able to test the new items, the impressions of which I will share in this material.

The same Tasmanian wolf that I mentioned above. The beast can be controlled to track the movements of rivals. If on the way the wolf manages to meet someone, then using the “Fire” button you can force the beast to inflict damage on the opponent. When I first met the wolf, at first I did not understand what kind of monster was running at me. Of course, the first thing that came to mind was to start shooting at him. It turned out that the wolf can really be killed, but he will still have time to scout the situation for his master. The ability is especially useful on the Bind map, since the beast can be sent to any of the portals – doors will open in front of it, and thus you can find out how safe it is behind them. The cost of the ability is 200 credits.
Skye dispatches three bloodhounds to track nearby rivals. If the bloodhound manages to find a target, then it will temporarily restrict the opponent’s view. To use the ability, you need six charges of ultimate.
The Valorant developers promise to add Skye to the game on October 28th. As always, at first the hero will appear in almost every match. However, it can be assumed that even after everyone has tried out the new agent, Skye will still be one of the popular characters. It can even be a worthy replacement for Sage. Firstly, Skye is able to heal all allies at the same time, secondly, to scout the territory and warn of possible danger, and thirdly, Skye can instantly blind the opponent and thus disarm the annoying sniper. All her abilities are very useful for team play. And even if you are a bad shooter, with Skye you can always help your allies.
A new map in a shooter is always a breath of fresh air. Four months after the release, Ascent Riot Games presented us with the fifth map – Icebox. According to the developers, they will release it earlier than planned, but because of this, the release of the agent will have to be postponed for two weeks.
