Two months have passed since the release of The Burning Crusade for World of Warcraft Classic: the first content phase is coming to an end in the game and active preparation for the second begins. After the success of World of Warcraft Classic, it became clear that the release of the classic version of The Burning Crusade expansion was just a matter of time. Blizzard decided to release a pre-patch for the addon on May 19, and Burning Crusade Classic itself on June 2, 2023. This choice cannot be called successful for several reasons.
First, the announcement took place less than a month before the release. Because of this, many players did not have time to adjust their summer plans and, for example, take a vacation to immerse themselves in the new expansion. Secondly, the developers have allocated very little time for the patch, prior to the release of the classic version of The Burning Crusade – only two weeks. This forced users to rush to pumping new characters, which negatively affected the gaming experience – a measured journey through classic Azeroth for many quickly turned into almost a work routine.

The Burning Crusade Classic will have a second phase very soon. With it, in the classic version of WoW, new content and raid bosses will appear, the battle with which will help to understand whether Blizzard has managed to surprise gamers and provide them with some kind of challenge. The beginning of the add-on can be considered quite successful – it delighted users with both a good technical component and the atmosphere of the original add-on. The main thing is that the developers of Burning Crusade Classic are not prevented by the scandals that are raging at Blizzard. If the authors of the game continue to improve the classic add-on, then in one and a half to two years the WoW community will be able to enjoy the long-awaited, but not yet announced addition – Wrath of the Lich King. However, now the players have enough worries and in addition to the lord of the Scourge, there is a battle ahead with many villains of Outland.
