Horizon: Zero Dawn at minimum salaries: PC gamer tested former PS4-exclusive on GeForce GT 710 at 72p

Youtuber zWORMz Gaming, also known by his pseudonym Kryzzp, featured as a PC version of the action adventure Horizon: Zero Dawn can look at ultra low resolution 128 x 72.

A very unusual test was carried out to prove that even old budget video cards, like NVIDIA GeForce GT 710, on which the game was launched, can pull modern AAA titles, albeit in a resolution reduced to the very minimum level.

His experiment to launch Horizon: Zero Dawn on a 2GB GeForce GT 710 the enthusiast started with the maximum settings and 1080p resolution. With these parameters, the project was able to produce only 3 frames per second, after which Kryzzp began to increase performance, setting the minimum graphics preset and gradually reducing the resolution to 720p, 360p and 144p. And although the picture quality with such settings has deteriorated a lot, Kryzzp was still able to run around the game world a little, having achieved a “playable” 20 FPS.

The final stage, during which Kryzzp lowered the resolution to a minimum of 72p, showed what Horizon: Zero Dawn might look like if it were released in the era Playstation 1

Late last month studio Guerrilla Games stated that the computer version of Horizon: Zero Dawn will now receive updates less often, and the creators themselves are throwing all their energies into developing a sequel for PS4 and PS5 – Horizon: Forbidden West
