Organizers of the annual developer conference Gdc published a list of nominees for the 20th prize GDC Awards. Winners in all categories will be announced at the award ceremony. March 18th, along with which the winners of the independent games award will be determined Independent Games Festival Awards.
The leader in the number of nominations at the GDC Awards 2023 became Death stranding. Hideo Kojima’s new project claims to receive awards in seven categories at once, including the main one, “Game of the Year”where his rivals will perform Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Untitled Goose Game, Control and Outer wilds. The last two will compete for figurines in five nominations each.
Nominees and winners of the GDC Awards are determined by an international group of leading game developers. Any game released during the last calendar year has the right to freely nominate for the prize, regardless of the platform and distribution method.
