May issue cover EDGE we have already seen, and today in the vastness of the network there are game ratings from the latest issue of the magazine. In total, the journalists of the British edition examined nine new products, including Half-Life: Alyx.
The long-awaited Valve project received 9 points out of 10 possible. The reviewer liked the idea of gravel gloves and the leap in interaction with the environment that they give. The critic did not consider this something revolutionary, but called it extremely useful in gameplay and intuitive.
Approaching the writing of the review, the journalist initially expected to see just a decent story, but in the end the work of the scriptwriters left him very impressed. A pleasant surprise was the fact that the developers managed to transfer the familiar gameplay of Half-Life to the rails of virtual reality so well. Compared to traditional shooters, Half-Life: Alyx sets a lower pace, but at the moments of battles the game is really breathtaking, and the world itself can be slowly explored, since there is really something to see from the point of view of the visual.
