Guillermo del Toro said that once he was offered to remove the sequel “Offspring of Chucky” and sequel “Flies” by David Cronenberg.
The meeting regarding the last project, according to the director, was one of the worst in his life – it happened back in the 90s or even earlier.
They say to me: “How about Fly 2?” And I replied: “Do not take it off.”
They asked me “why,” to which I said: “Because the first was just great.” That’s it.

Perhaps it was all about triquel, since the sequel to the original picture was released back in 1989. Well, or Del Toro mixed up a few years. The first tape at the same time spoke about a scientist who, due to a fly that interfered with the experiment, began to turn into an insect.
The director also said that before the pandemic he managed to shoot almost half of his new film “Avenue of Nightmares” from Bradley Cooper starring. The tape tells about the fraudster from the carnival, which teams up with a psychiatrist to cheat people together. But then the situation changes dramatically, and now the partner is trying to turn the whole situation to her advantage.
The author hopes that he will be able to return to production this fall, but so far it’s hard to say for sure.
