GSC Game World explained the weak AI of enemies in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trailer. 2: Heart of Chernobyl

When watching the first gameplay trailer S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl many drew attention to the strange behavior of opponents: in the video, the enemies stand rooted to the spot and cannot hit the main character, being a few meters away from him.

It turned out that this was intentional. The authors deliberately twisted the AI to a minimum to maximize the cinematography of the video, but in the game itself, the artificial intelligence of the enemies will work as it should, based on the set difficulty level. The information was confirmed by the studio GSC Game World on a recent YouTube stream TheWolfstalker.

“For the trailer, we specially turned the AI down to a minimum for maximum cinematography. In the game itself, you yourself choose how many olives and how often to catch.”

Release S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will take place 28th April 2023 both Xbox Series X / S and PC on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft. On release day, the game will immediately appear on Xbox Game Pass.
