Danish company SteelSeries has long established itself as one of the market leaders in the gaming industry… It offers its consumers a fairly wide range of gaming headsets, so everyone, even the most demanding gamer, will be able to choose a device to suit their needs.

In terms of design, the headset turned out to be neat and strict. As you can see from the photos, there is nothing superfluous here: we are greeted by a nice matte plastic with SteelSeries logos on each of the bowls. The backlight is not provided.
The model offers soft ear cushions made of special Airweave fabric. It passes hot air and moisture well outside, while providing a not ideal, but decent level of sound insulation. Important observation: the ears can “breathe” and not fog up even after several hours of use.
All headphone controls are located on the left ear cup. In particular, there is a button for turning the microphone on and off, a knob for changing the volume and connectors for a connection.
The headset received a flexible retractable bi-directional ClearCast microphone, which really transmits voice clearly and suppresses ambient noise well, focusing only on the user’s speech. ClearTest microphones are officially Discord certified. When creating a bi-directional design, the developers started from the solutions used in aviation.
As a gaming headset, SteelSeries Arctis 3 Console Edition works out with a bang, allowing you to navigate well in space and recognize from which side the enemy is approaching and at what distance the firefight is being conducted, which is very important for competitive projects. With singles, however, everything is fine too. Headphones allow you to hear even the smallest noises and rustles, soldiers’ talks and birdsong. When you rotate the camera and move the character, the sound realistically rolls from one ear to the other. The S1 speakers transmit it without distortion.

When it comes to listening to music, the level offered by the SteelSeries Arctis 3 Console Edition will suffice for the average user. The sound is transparent, although in some compositions, there may be a lack of bass. However, for advanced users, this headset is obviously not a substitute for expensive professional music solutions. However, she does not try, since this is a solid mid-budget solution for a wide segment of gamers.
