One of the attractive aspects Playstation 5 is backward compatible, allowing legacy games to run on it. With the lifting of the embargo on reviews, videos of the gameplay of backward compatible titles on the new console began to appear on the network.
The PlayStation Universe portal, in particular, recorded a video with the beginning God of war on PS5. The game was launched in performance mode, and, according to the author, showed a stable 60 FPS without any drawdowns…
This mode is also available on the PlayStation 4 Pro, but there are problems with maintaining a constant 60 frames per second. The PSU editors did not reveal the resolution information, but it is probably about 1080p, as on the PS4 Pro with the same mode.
Performance improvements on the PlayStation 5 also received Ghost of tsushima and Days gone… Famitsu reporters have already tested them on the new console and compared them with the PS4 Pro versions – both games run 60 FPS on PS5 after recent updates…
More details about PS5 backward compatibility were recently told in Digital Foundry…
