In the official store Microsoft a page with a project called The red doorbehind which is supposedly a beta version of the next game in the series Call of duty.
The official description states that The Red Door is a shooter, and its publisher is Activision.
“There is no single truth. If you are looking for answers, be prepared to question everything and accept that nothing will be the same. The red door is waiting – dare to go through it?”, The page says.
In June, the mention of The Red Door was discovered in Playstation store. Then enthusiasts studied the PKG file of the patch for this project and found a picture with a logo in it Call of Duty: Black Ops against the background of some secret document mentioning 1976, which can serve as confirmation of insiders about the setting of the Cold War for the new game in the series. At the same time, the publication Eurogamer, citing its sources, claims that the new Call of Duty will be called Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.
This year, the new Call of Duty is announced much later than usual. The game should be released in the fall of 2023 on PCs and consoles of the current and next generations.
