Gamers are sweeping the Switch off the shelves – Nintendo console factories are running at full capacity

Company Nintendo launched a new line for the assembly of consoles Switch in Malaysia in addition to manufacturing facilities in China and Vietnam. This is reported by a business publication with reference to its sources. Bloomberg

The factories of Nintendo’s manufacturing partners are reported to be operating at maximum capacity until the very end of 2023 to release as many Switch consoles as possible.

The situation is unusual: if the system is not new, as a rule, production activity at factories decreases in December, as platform holders cover most of the needs for the holiday season with deliveries in October and November. However, 2023 is the best year in Switch history – demand and sales have skyrocketed and continue to grow. For more than six months, there was a deficit in many markets.

According to analyst David GibsonThe Switch shipped in the US in November was the largest in console history.

“Switch will continue to break records in the coming months …” he wrote.

For Black Friday, Nintendo has offered Americans a Switch bundle with the popular racing game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $ 299.99. It was instantly sold out by the players.

Earlier it became known that Switch broke the Xbox 360 record in the United States – it has been ranked first in sales in the largest market in the world for 23 months in a row
