Update. IGN Editorial announced Results of the year: readers chose Death Stranding, and the editors chose Control.
Last week edition IGN called nominees for the "Game of the Year", where she was absent Death stranding. Shortly after, user voting began, but readers were unsatisfied that the new Hideo Kojima was not participating in the survey.
The editors went forward and added the game to the vote. To their surprise, the project instantly broke into the lead.
Later, a site forum moderator appeared in the comments, asking users to stop “ironically” voting for Death Stranding, since this is a dummy – if it weren’t indicated on the game’s box that this was the work of Hideo Kojima, everyone would pass by.
Next, the moderator, who simply helps the editorial staff to maintain order and does not work in the media, praised IGN for honest criticism of the project, which received 6.8 points from the portal journalist.
Today, December 10, from the page of the site in a mysterious way gone voting. It was removed by someone from the IGN editorial office – the mention of updating the note is visible at the beginning of the material. No comments have been received so far.
