GALAX unveils GeForce GTX 1650 Ultra graphics card based on RTX 2060 chip – review

Chinese manufacturer Galax presented a new modification of the video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. This version received the prefix Ultra, as well as the TU106 graphics chip, which is also used in the GeForce RTX 2060 and GeForce RTX 2070.

However, the new version uses only part of the functional blocks – only 896 CUDA cores are available, which gives 14 such modules. It seems that the rejected chips went to the production of these cards.

Other specifications include:

  • GPU frequencies: 1410-1590 MHz
  • Heat Pack: 90 W
  • Video memory: 4 GB GDDR6 with 128-bit bus, vRAM frequency is 12 GB / sec
  • Power Connector: One Six Pin
  • Cooling: two fans and a radiator
  • Connectors: one DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.

The price has not yet been specified, because it is unclear how much it will differ from other modifications of the GTX 1650. The positioning of the new product is also unclear, because it is inferior in power to the Super version, although it surpasses the usual “sixteen fifty” ones.

Also unknown are the release date and geography of sales.
