The graphics got better: Cyberpunk 2077 compared with the version of 2018 – video and many new screenshots

Youtube Cycu1 posted a video comparing graphics Cyberpunk 2077 on the example of the demo shown in 2018, and frames from yesterday’s trailer.

The video makes it clear that over the years, the developers of CD Projekt RED not only did not worsen the visual effects, as is often the case with games from other studios over the years of production, but on the contrary tightened the graphics in many aspects. The most noticeable change was the redesigned lighting and new shadow effects with ray tracing, making the game world look more realistic. The authors also improved the quality of the models and the overall detail.

NVIDIA previously announced that the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 will receive four ray tracing effects, DLSS 2.0 support and access to GeForce NOW at launch. From yesterday’s previews, it also became known that the build offered by the press at offline events was launched on the same GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with enabled ray tracing and DLSS technology in resolution 1080p with stable 60 frames per second.

It turned out that the gameplay, which was posted along with the preview materials, was not recorded by journalists, but by CDPR itself and did not contain ray tracing. This point was confirmed by one of the experts Digital foundry in the comments on the ResetEra forum.
