Origin opened the new Battlefield page ahead of time – it got the name Battlefield 2042… The shooter will have three editions (Standard, Gold and Ultimate) and will release on October 22nd.
In 2042, the United States and Russia will again find themselves on the brink of war – in such conditions, the action of the shooter will unfold. The storyline campaign, however, does not seem to be at all. The developers decided to focus on online.
At the start of the shooter there will be everything 7 cards with support for up to 128 players, and they plan to develop it according to the model of the latter Call of duty – new cards will be completely free, and monetization will be done through the battle pass.
Instead of standard classes, specialists will appear – characters with names and unique features. At the start, there will be four of them, which reflect classes like a scout, a support soldier, a medic and a sniper.
During the first year, they promise to release 4 new specialists – each for the season. When purchasing the Expanded Edition, players will receive a Year 1 Pass, which appears to include a paid Battle Pass.
Among the gadgets are mechanical dogs, a grappling hook and yes, a wingsuit.
