“Find and Kill”: A 39-year-old man arrested in Japan after threatening Square Enix employees

The Shinjuku Tokyo District Police Department reported the capture of a man who regularly sent letters to the publishing house Square enix… He threatened the developers with reprisals. The malefactor turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of the Japanese city of Saitama.

Between November 2 and November 19, the detainee sent 37 threatening messages through an unnamed project audience support form, likely for mobile devices, police said. It is known that in his messages the hero of the news threatened the developers, mentioning “unfair rules of the game”.

It is reported that due to the constant incoming threats, the publishing house Square Enix even had to cancel the live broadcast planned for November 20, but now employees can rest easy.

However, this is not the first time that developers have received physical threats to their address. Several similar cases were recorded in 2019. Fortunately, then the police also managed to find and detain the evil ill-wishers.
