Role-playing game Final Fantasy XVI was officially presented in September 2023 during the presentation Playstation 5… Since the trailer showed footage from the PC and mentioned that the game will also be released on personal computers, many probably expect that the release will take place simultaneously on both platforms, but, apparently this is not the case.
PlayStation’s Brazilian division recently posted a new PS5 commercial. The video is dedicated to the console exclusives of the set-top box, among which are announced Godfall, Deathloop, Ghostwire: Tokyo and FFXVIhowever, users noticed a difference in the release date footnotes.
While the first three games state that they are or will be available on PC on the same day as the PS5, and even mention exclusivity periods (six months for Godfall and one year each for Bethesda games), in the case of FFXVI, a completely different wording was used. She says that Final Fantasy XVI will not be available on other platforms for a limited time after its release on PlayStation 5 and does not reveal the console exclusivity window…
At the same time, it is already known that another temporary console exclusive PlayStation 5 from Square enix – role project Project Athia – will not appear on other consoles within 24 months from the date of release.
The release dates for FFXVI and Project Athia are currently unknown.
