Far Cry 6 developers promise to avoid problems on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, like Cyberpunk 2077

Lead Gameplay Designer Far Cry 6 David Grevel assured fans that the upcoming shooter will not repeat the mistakes on old consoles that Cyberpunk 2077 had.

In an interview with VGC, the developer noted that the studio does not expect any problems with the version of the game for the previous generation of consoles and strives to achieve maximum quality on all announced platforms… Moreover, he noted that in the near future Ubisoft will begin to show more gameplay of Far Cry 6, including on pastgen.

“In the next few weeks and months, we will definitely start showing more [геймплея] on different platforms. What I can say, without getting too much into technical details and stuff like that, is that the game works great on both the new Xbox Series and PS5, as well as the previous generation of consoles.

One of the details I can add about the nextgen is the ability to run the game in 4K resolution at 60fps, which is really cool. I test it on dev-kit in the studio and I can confidently say that it works great on the new generation, but this does not mean that the consoles of the previous generation will in any way seem to be thrown.

We treat them with all our attention and will soon reveal more detailed information. But yes, we are not indifferent to all platforms, including the old generation, new, PC, Stadia, Luna and more. “

Far Cry 6 is out 7th October… Yesterday Ubisoft showed the first gameplay and revealed fresh details of the shooter.
