Software developer Jason Mayes created a program that automatically removes a person from the video and leaves only the background. In this case, the system analyzes the composition of the background and generates its measurement so that the person in the image disappears.
The source code of the project is located on Github, and on a special site you can check the technology in action. You just need to go there and give access to the webcam, after which the program in real time will delete the user from the video. It looks something like this:
The developer himself said that this is still an experiment, because the system may work with errors. Such a program will certainly be useful for video and photo editing, as it will simplify the removal of certain objects. True, it can become a source of fakes.
