Easter egg for The Last of Us found in Uncharted 4 four years later – review

Accurately, harmoniously and imperceptibly to integrate an Easter egg into the game is a great art. And sometimes designers succeed in it so much that they find hints and surprises only years later.

Anthony Vaccaro, Naughty Dog environment artist, on his twitter shared joy from the fact that he found an easter egg he created. In one of the chapters Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Nathan is allowed to control the boat, and this can be used to find the sunken ship and the skeleton of a pirate at the bottom.

This pirate is the easter egg: coral grows from his face, and the picture resembles the nutcrackers from The last of usin which part of the face is captured by the fungus.

Vaccaro suggested that this is the first time his Easter egg has been found. However, this was not so: on YouTubechannel Playstation nation a clip with a nutcracker pirate appeared in 2016, a couple of months after the release.

But then no one noticed him: the video still has less than five thousand views.
