In a new article The hollywood reporter it is mentioned that Disney was developing a series on the universe The throne, however, abandoned the project

The text itself is dedicated to the future fate of the entire Disney + service, on which Bob Iger and other representatives of the studio are going to focus.

And among a number of projects, the series on the Throne universe is just mentioned, on which John Ridley worked for several months as a producer (12 Years of Slavery). However, in the end, the studio refused the show.

Details of its plot are not disclosed, but the story could well have been a continuation of the film Tron: Legacy 2010 – acted as its director Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion).

Legacy is a sequel to the original 1982 Tron. The first picture was not a hit rental, but eventually acquired a cult status. The plot of the tape was dedicated to the young programmer Kevin Flynn, who literally “got” inside the computer.

But perhaps for the universe not everything is lost. According to the portal The disinsider, Studio reflects over the creation of a new full-length tape for wide rental. However, there is no evidence of this information.
