Cubic Mario comes into play: Nintendo and LEGO will release interactive designers from the creator of Super Mario Maker

Japanese publishing house Nintendo and Danish toy manufacturer Lego announced a partnership in which an interactive designer based on games about Mario. A video demonstrating the set was also published.

The new designer stands out from other LEGO kits. Buyers will be offered to assemble their own interactive level, reminiscent of a board game. A special figure of Mario will move around it, which is equipped with a speaker, counts “coins”, can express emotions, and is also able to recognize the colors of blocks using a special sensor. Therefore, the character will be able to distinguish enemies from friends and understand where the beginning and end of the level.

The designer was developed for four years with the participation of a Japanese producer Takashi tezukiwho was in charge of a series of games Super mario maker, and it is perfectly visible. As stated in LEGO, they do not intend to limit the imagination of children. So, one of the ideas is for several players to organize coin collecting competitions.

The start of sales of the new LEGO set is scheduled for 2023, but prices are not disclosed. It is known that there will be several options with other Nintendo characters.
