Civilization VI Receives A Large-Scale Patch With Maps, Units And AI Improvements

For Sid Meier’s Civilization VI released the promised major update to diversify gameplay, improve AI and add new maps.
First of all, three units appeared in the strategy:
Trebuchets – Improved Medieval Catapult
Armored – an improved swordsman of the Middle Ages;
The Line Infantry is the improved Musketeer of the Industrial Age.
At the same time, the developers changed the balance of many existing melee and ranged units, sea units and more. And the scout can now pet his dog!
Other innovations include new maps:
Large Map of the Mediterranean – a map of the vast Mediterranean region with resources, landscapes and features in its historical sites;
Huge Earth Map – A larger map similar to the Earth in the location of resources, land masses and historical sites;
Huge political map of the Earth – civilizations start the game in the place of historical capitals on a huge map of the Earth;
Huge political map of the Mediterranean – civilizations begin the game in the place of historical capitals on a large map of the Mediterranean
In addition, the developers had to make changes to almost all states: for example, the number of free cells in new cities of Russia was reduced to 5 (previously it was 8). The update affected both base and additional countries – and, of course, did not forget about the barbarians.
Plus, the artificial intelligence and interface have been improved, and numerous bugs have been fixed on PC and consoles.
You can read more about all the improvements to the strategy in the developer notes.
