Catastrophe from Netflix: The first Japan Sinks: 2023 anime trailer based on the cult novel appeared online

Streaming platform Netflix introduced the debut trailer and announced the date of the premiere of the anime series Japan Sinks: 2023based on the novel of the same name Sakyo Komatsu (in Russia, the book is known as “Dragon Death“). The broadcast of the show will begin already July 9th.

The events of the original book take place in the late 1960s in Japan. So in the plot large-scale events begin to be described, from various catastrophic scenarios to a desperate attempt by the government to evacuate its inhabitants and the accompanying political intrigues.

In turn, anime adaptation carries events today. She will tell the story of the Muto family and her brother and sister Ayumi and Guo, who will have to flee Tokyo crumbling before the eyes, which suffered from a terrible earthquake.
