Call of Duty 2023 will not be announced this week – Activision invites the audience to guess the date of the announcement

Last week the company Activision sent to bloggers mysterious boxesby asking to open them not earlier than the evening of August 10. The fans thought that the announcement of the new Call of Duty part will take place on Monday, but it turned out that this is not so… The developers decided to play with the audience – they offered to guess the date of the presentation of the shooter.

In the boxes, bloggers found slide projectors released in the 1950s of the last century. They were accompanied by numbered slides pointing to different cities around the world, such as Paris, Moscow, London and New York, and letters mentioning the exploration of the Ural Mountains.

Streamers and ordinary players spent several hours sorting out the contents of the boxes and trying to figure out what Activision wants to say. As a result, they were able to go to the site pawntakespawn.com/tv (“pawn takes pawn”), which shows a table with a TV, two pawns, a telephone, a computer and a clock. The page was determined to be refreshed on August 14 at 19:00 Moscow time.

Later representatives of Activision congratulated the community on the opening of the site, but clarified that on Friday the new Call of Duty will not be announced.… Instead, players will be presented with the next challenge, and this stage will be the first on the path to the presentation of the shooter.

According to insiders, Call of Duty 2023 will be dedicated to the confrontation on the world stage during the Cold War and will be called Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War… Presumably, some of the actions will unfold on the territory of the USSR.
