Sony will not delay the announcements for Playstation 5 and is ready to submit them before the end of this month. At least the edition thinks so Bloomberg, whose source said about the upcoming major presentation of the next generation console.
It looks like the State of Play, scheduled for August 6, will be just the start of a large-scale offensive by the Japanese tech giant.
Sony has not yet decided on the prices for the consoles, which, according to the company’s analyst Macquarie Capital Damian Tongwill be equal to $ 400 and $ 500 for diskless and standard versions, respectively. In addition, Tong believes the company will be able to deliver over 6 million systems by March 2023.
“I think the Sony PlayStation target audience, who decided to take the console off the ground, quickly snapped up the first few million systems,” says an analyst at Macquarie Capital. “With backward compatibility, the existing game library will run on the new console, so the new machine can be used in the early days.”
The PlayStation 5 will be released in late 2023.
