At S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will support mods and various endings – review addiction

Zakhar Bocharov, PR manager of the studio Gsc game world, took part in the podcast “Not brought“. There he answered questions and gave some additional details about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

One of the key aspects of the future game, the developers consider support for user modifications. It will definitely be in the PC version, and the possibility of introducing it in the Xbox Series version is also being considered.

In addition, at the beginning of development, the studio tried to use an updated version of its own X-Ray engine, on which the previous parts of the series worked. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., however it soon became clear that it was outdated and it was ultimately decided to resort to the Unreal Engine.

As already reported, the developers intend to implement a detailed A-life interaction system, in which events will occur even when the player does not see them, and this will affect the world. As we remember, at one time the creators of “The shadow of Chernobyl”They rejected such a plan. But now the system is showing excellent results.

The main focus of the developers is on the storyline campaign – the story is conceived non-linear, with a huge number of forks and different endings. In this case, the Zone itself will correspond to the scale of the narrative.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been announced for PC and Xbox Series only.
