At ITMO University, you can get a physical education credit by playing CS: GO and Dota 2

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO) of St. Petersburg came up with an original way to get credit for physical education.

Since March 16, university students have been transferred to distance learning, and to score points in the discipline they were invited to participate in leagues for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Clash royale and Dota 2. The total time in the game and participation in weekly tournaments are taken into account.

As noted, you need to score at least a hundred points – for participating in tournaments you can get at least three. Other conditions are to have an account with Faceitwhere leagues and tournaments will take place, as well as in Steam. In “Contra” should be played at least forty hours. There are no such requirements for Dota 2 and Clash Royale.

In addition, a video was published, the main role in which was played by rector Vladimir Vasiliev.
