ASUS introduced new gaming monitors with support for DSC technology

Company Asus introduced two new monitors that have been labeled ROG Swift PG43UQ and ROG Strix XG27UQ. They are focused on people passionate about games, and are the first gaming monitors with support for streaming compression technology. DSC (Display Stream Compression).

According to the official description, this technology allows you to transmit ultra-high resolution images through a single interface at high speed and without visible loss of quality. With this solution, the ROG Strix XG27UQ monitor is capable of delivering detailed 4K images with a refresh rate of 144 Hz over a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection without using color subsampling.

“Typically, to transmit a video signal with an image of this level without the use of DSC technology, two connections to a PC via DisplayPort interface are required. This configuration usually requires complex driver settings, is not compatible with high dynamic range (HDR) technology and does not support a variable refresh rate in games “The ROG Swift PG43UQ and Strix XG27UQ gaming monitors solve all these problems. They support both the HDR format and the variable refresh rate when connected via a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection,” ASUS said.

ROG Swift PG43UQ became the first 43-inch gamer monitor with DSC support for smooth gameplay in 4K format with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. The display claims professional color gamut coverage (90% DCI-P3) and high contrast. He received DisplayHDR 1000 certification and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.

Of the other implemented solutions, the GameFast Input system is noted, which is designed to significantly reduce the response delay. Separately, the manufacturer mentions an anti-reflective coating, thanks to which the monitor can be comfortably used in daylight or in changing lighting conditions. The device is equipped with a pair of stereo speakers with a power of 10 watts and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology. Will ship with a remote control.

In turn ROG Strix XG27UQ called the first gaming 27-inch monitor with the same DSC technology support as the older model. Among its technical features, the presence of NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, DisplayHDR 400 certification, and high color gamut – 90% of the DC-P3 space are noted.

The release date of the models and their cost has not yet been announced. You can learn more about the new products on the official ASUS website..
