ARM processors for Apple Mac will produce TSMC – review

Company Apple already this year it plans to start transferring its computers to ARM processors, and it will end in 2023. Now it became known who exactly will produce them.

This will be tackled by the Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC. They have already stated that they expect growth in orders for chips from the company from Cupertino. Although it is not yet clear exactly which specifications the chips will receive, by what technical process they will be produced, and so on.

Note that all computers, including Mac Pro, will transfer to new chips. At the same time, the macOS 11.0 Big Sur operating system is already ready, and a number of programs will be executed natively. For everyone else, the use of Rosetta 2 is promised – a very effective emulator that will translate x86 commands to ARM and vice versa.

It is also reported that ARM-based Macs will use a USB controller ASMedia.
