Angry China horror Devotion will remain at Harvard University

Two Taiwanese studio games officially added to Harvard University library Red candle. Now in the largest prestigious collection will be stored horror Devotion and Detention.
The history of the independent studio Red Candle initially unfolded smoothly: the developers created the successful retro-horror Detention, which even filmed the adaptation. On the wave of success, the studio released the next project, Devotion. And then a scandal erupted.
The release version of Devotion found insults to Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is not known how and why they got into the game: the developers claimed that they were added by a single employee, and that as a blank, and the inscriptions on the posters remained in Devotion solely out of control.
Red Candle may re-launch Devotion, but not soon
Horror Devotion banned in China due to Winnie the Pooh
If this was a mistake, then it cost a lot: Devotion was removed from Steam forever and irrevocably. Red Candle apologized a lot, but the publisher terminated her contracts. Indievent and Winking entertainment. One of them even lost a business license.
Harvard-Yenching Library is America’s largest repository of information and items of oriental culture. The creators of Devotion and Detention consider it a great honor that their projects have earned a place in it.
And once again they apologize – now to the fans who were made to worry. Red Candle says that everything is fine with the studio, and she does the same: she creates games.
