The latest Steam update files hints at Valve’s handheld console

Despite the failure of Steam Machines, the company Valveis perhaps really working on a new console, and a portable one. Users have found hints of this in the lines of code of the new beta version of Steam

The client update released yesterday contains links to “SteamPal“and”SteamPal Games“in relation to something codenamed”Neptune“. In addition, there are shortcuts and power menus with options to turn off, pause (sleep) or restart the system, as well as settings for airplane mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless communication modules, and a program for developers called”Callisto“.

Interestingly, this is not the first mention of Neptune. In the September update on Steam, dataminers found the lines “NeptuneGamesCollection“and”Device Optimized Games

Earlier, Gabe Newell hinted that at the end of the year there will be news related to the return of Valve to the console market, and one of the company’s former employees told ResetEra about the new PC console that was created some time ago. Perhaps it all has something to do with it.
