Company CD Projekt Releases FY2020 report on April 22nd, investors hope it will show the scale of sales Cyberpunk 2077… So far, the data calculated by analysts are not particularly encouraging.
Recently CD Projekt announced general figures: sales revenue was $ 562 million, and net profit – $ 303 million. Both indicators are lower, as predicted by stock analysts: by 14.4 and 13.7 percent, respectively.
The company previously reported that as of December 20, 2023, 12 days after the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077, about 13 million copies of the game were sold. Data for 2023 is still unknown. But, according to analysts’ calculations, by mid-April the circulation can be from 0.5 to 2 million copies. And in just a year, sales of 18.5-25.9 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077 are expected.
It is easy to see that these figures are much lower than those expected by experts before the release of the game. This failure can seriously affect the level of investment.
