AMD will transfer Ryzen 3 1200 to 12-nanometer process technology – review

AMD continues to transfer processors to a new manufacturing process. Transition Ryzen 5 1600 at 12 nanometers was only the “first swallow”. Now they’ve done the same with Ryzen 3 1200, which became the cheapest 12nm chip without integrated graphics.

This status previously belonged to Ryzen 3 2300X (four cores without multithreading, frequencies from 3.5 to 4.0 GHz). From now on, it will be “one thousand two hundred” with four cores, the absence of SMT and a frequency range from 3.1 to 3.4 GHz. Instead of Zen architecture, Zen + is used.

This processor will receive a marking of the form YD1200BBM4KAF. It is the AF symbols that indicate a new process technology. The previously mentioned Ryzen 5 1600 was labeled YD1600BBM6IAF.

As expected, this should unify the production and assortment of goods. You can also expect an increase in the number of such processors in the market.
