A popular comedian who visited Dudya fled from Russia and answered why

A popular Russian comedian who has already managed to give an interview to Yuri Dudu, escaped from Russia. He explained why he decided to leave the country.

Stand-up comedian Alexander Dolgopolov left Russia and explained to his fans why he did this, Gamebomb.ru reports. The main reason he called the law on the protection of the feelings of believers, which he considers repressive. It was because of him that law enforcement agencies began checking the artist’s performances. In addition, Dolgopolov does not believe in a “fair outcome” in his case. He believes that comedians should not be prosecuted for jokes at all. He does not want to “endure oppression,” and therefore left Russia.

At the same time, Alexander Dolgopolov found a positive moment in the whole situation, Gamebomb.ru reports. “I did the right thing to get attention,” he wrote on Twitter. The comedian argues that this should be done with all repressive laws. What kind of laws are in question, Dolgopolov did not specify. The artist also believes that Russians accustomed to this have become “a little unfree”. In communication with fans, he criticized Russia for the fact that there is “a lot of hatred, anger, so much barbarism, so little empathy and love.” Dolgopolov admitted that he would not risk returning to the country until “the matter is cleared up.”

Dolgopolov also compared himself to the poet Joseph Brodsky. He recalled the case when Brodsky was thinking about the possibility of hijacking a plane in order to escape from the country. “I just bought a ticket,” the comedian wrote. He explained his act with dreams of freedom and the desire to take risks, in which he sees nothing wrong.

Earlier it became known that after a complaint about the video “Alexander Dolgopolov – New Hour of Jokes,” law enforcement agencies began checking the standup’s speeches for insults to the feelings of believers. In this video, the comedian talks about how he became an atheist and plays the scene of his dialogue with God.
