Company Valve not intended after release Half-Life: Alyx cast the name universe Gordon Freeman. This was stated by the game designer Robin Walker.
As the developer emphasized, the franchise still means a lot to the company, and the Alyx project allowed them to take a fresh look at the usual game mechanics. Valve has a lot of employees, some of whom found the development of the original Half-Life, and for others, the VR title was the first experience.
“Many of them hope that it will not be their last project. Half-Life: Alyx is a return to the world of the series, not its end,” Walker explained.
Earlier it also became known that sales of the virtual reality helmet Valve Index will resume on March 9 (all previous parties were sold out). However, sources doubt that everyone will be able to get a box with the device, since Valve expects to sell the whole new batch on the first day of sales.
