In addition, support is announced for 12 more projects:

- Far cry 6
- Farming Simulator 22
- Forspoken
- Myst
- Necromunda: Hired Gun
- Resident evil village
- Swordsman Remake
- Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt.
The news is good, but the technology itself still raises questions – Digital foundry believes that in its current form FidelityFX Super Resolution does not yet have a serious foundation and should not be called a direct analogue of DLSS for a number of reasons.
Technology NVIDIA works on specialized tensor cores and, in addition to standard scaling, uses machine learning – nothing like this AMD has, since “Red” uses only data from previous frames. Therefore, FSR can even work on GTX 1060.
DF is not sure that developers should pay attention to FSR in its current form at all, since its own solutions are the same Insomniac scaling the picture is much more efficient – and the team is already very familiar with them.
Whether AMD will be able to noticeably improve the work of its FSR and at the same time attract the attention of developers to it is an open question. Digital Foundry notes that AMD knows how to make great features, but cannot convince studios to use them.
FSR is currently supported by 44 studios including Crystal Dynamics, Bloober Team, EA, Capcom, QLOC, Valve, Gearbox, Ubisoft and WB Games.
