Along with the announcement of the release date, Valve showed several new screenshots of the project. They showcase the streets of City 17.
Events Half-Life: Alyx takes place between the first and second parts of Half-Life. At the center of the story is Alix Vance and her father Eli, who lead early resistance against the Alliance and the brutal occupation of the Earth.
Half-Life: Alyx can be launched on all relevant virtual reality helmets, including Oculus Quest when connecting the device to a PC. The announcement of the game spurred sales of virtual reality helmets.
All owners of the advanced Valve Index headsets will receive Half-Life: Alyx for free.
