Publisher Dear villagers and independent studio Phigames have announced the exact release date for an adventure metroidvania with a hacker bias Recompile… The game is released on August 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
In Recompile, we get an unusual hero: a semi-intelligent program, a piece of malicious code that got into the mainframe. The system will try with all its might to oust us, but if the hero manages to turn into a full-fledged artificial intelligence, he will be able to completely change the configuration of the system.
For battles with the inhabitants of the mainframe, we will have a wide selection of weapons and abilities. But sometimes it will be possible to do without a fight by breaking someone else’s code or finding workarounds. The choice of ending depends on which path we choose and what decisions we make.
