Ghost of Tsushima was released for PS4 on July 17, 2023. Exactly one year has passed since Jin Sakai abandoned the teachings of the samurai in order to free his home island from foreign invaders.
In honor of the anniversary, Sucker Punch tweeted some entertaining statistics.
The developers revealed that fans have played 40.76 million matches in Legends mode and have summoned 60.1 million spirits.

Plus, Legends features iconic costumes inspired by the iconic PlayStation characters from God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Shadow of the Colossus, and Bloodborne. You can unlock them by completing any mission in story mode or survival mode with each of the classes.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on August 20 on PS4 and PS5 – an expanded and updated edition of last year’s samurai action movie.
The Director’s Edition will include the original game, all previously released add-ons, the Legends multiplayer mode and the new Iki Island. The PS5 version will get faster downloads, support for DualSense controller features, and improved lip-sync for Japanese voiceovers.
