The final film of the horror trilogy “Street of fear“is already available for viewing in the online cinema catalog Netflix, however, for fans of the film adaptation of books Robert L. Stein there is still an option to complement your impressions after watching by listening to the soundtrack from the films, which will be released on vinyl records.
A notable feature of each of the three vinyls is the sleek sleeves inspired by the original book covers.
“The great thing about the Street of Fear trilogy is that all films are set at different times, and Lee (the director) really inspired me to build on that aspect,” says composer Marco Beltrami.
“The first part, set in 1994, was heavily inspired by Wes Craven’s Scream trilogy, so I was able to return to the music that gave me the start. In the second film, where 1978, we were able to capture Jerry Goldsmith’s iconic music and his use of woodwind and percussion in an orchestra. It was a great opportunity to prove yourself without the use of synthesizers. Ironically, the third film, dedicated to 1666, contains probably the most modern music from the entire collection. It is a combination of sounds from strings, drums, choir and electronics.
Over the past year, Marcus, Brandon, Anna and I have written over four hours of music, all inspired by our talented director Lee Janyak! Hope you enjoy”.
You can pre-order vinyl records at $ 50 (about 3,707 rubles) through website company Waxwork Records…
