Company Apple working on a portable hybrid console similar to the popular Nintendo Switch… This was reported in a post by an insider from the South Korean tech forum Clien.net.
According to published information, the device will be based on a completely new SoC, distinguishable from the A and M-series processors used in the current “apple” products… The chip will allegedly be equipped with a graphics subsystem with increased performance and will offer hardware support for ray tracing.
It is also noted that at the moment, the Cupertino tech giant is negotiating with Ubisoft and other well-known developerspossibly releasing exclusive games for its own subscription service Apple arcade…
Reports of Apple making its own ARM-based gaming console first surfaced back in the summer of last year, but the A-series processor was mentioned at the time, rather than an entirely new one. How much the publication corresponds to reality is currently unclear.
