Controversial sequel Super meat boy subtitled Forever will get to PS4 and Xbox One next week – April 16. On PS5 and Xbox Series, the project will be available through backward compatibility.
The sequel originally came out in December on Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store. Critics and gamers alike weren’t thrilled with the new design, as SMB Forever became a runner rather than a traditional platformer.
“Bringing Super Meat Boy back to Switch and PC was great, but it wouldn’t have been a win without the final round on PlayStation and Xbox, where the original debuted over a decade ago.“Said Team Meat co-founder Tommy Refenes.
On Metacritic, Super Meat Boy Forever has a modest 66-70 points, compared to 84-90 points for the original.
