Creative leader Ghost of tsushima Nate Fox in an interview GameSpot said that the game constantly monitors the player’s behavior in battle – this in turn affects the weather.
If Jin fights “with honor” more often – openly and in a samurai way – then the sun will come out more often, there will be fewer clouds in the sky, and the showers with thunderstorms will not occur as often. If the hero kills the Mongols and bandits secretly, “dishonestly”, then the weather will get worse and the wind will blow more and more.
A similar approach affects the gameplay: it is much more difficult for enemies to notice the protagonist during the rain, while in clear weather they will be seen from afar.
Ghost of Tsushima was released on July 17th on PS4, marking the most successful launch of a new IP in Sony history. Today an update has been released for the game with an increased difficulty level, the ability to reduce the intensity of battles and other options.
