On the set of “Claim” Christopher Nolan crashed a real plane – review

In an interview with the magazine Total film Christopher Nolan said that for filming “The argument” the tape team broke and blew up the real Boeing 747.

According to the director, initially no one was going to buy a real plane – they planned to shoot the scene using miniatures and graphics.

However, the authors then discovered a large number of decommissioned aircraft in California. They calculated the cost, and it turned out that buying a real plane would be a more “effective solution” than creating a scene with CGI.

From the point of view of Nolan, the final result with these parameters came out just fine. The premiere of the picture itself was to take place on July 16, but the date was removed from the last trailer.
